We Are Nashville Festival
The We Are Nashville Festival amplifies the value of music education through a dynamic, unifying and uplifting experience for Nashville-based student ensembles, local artist and arts organizations.
Saturday Soundcheck
The Saturday Soundcheck experience is a blend of artistry access, music creation, and building community through the vein of song creation! Students from around the city are invited to come together for a 2-hour casual song session led by local artists and music educators in the Nashville Area.
“It’s hard to put into words how much joy it has brought me to see my kids love music and be given incredible experiences to express that love. I spent the day with my son’s elementary school choir (the Granbery Gecko-Tones) at an event called “We Are Nashville”. Schools from all over the district, elementary, middle and high as well as the Nashville Symphony’s Accelerando students’ orchestra, spent the day at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and the Country Music Hall of Fame, rehearsing and learning more about our city’s musical history. It was AMAZING!”
“ Our fourth grader was a part of the elementary choir. We were moved to tears often through the night (and filled with joy) because the whole night was just such an experience that obviously not all 9 year olds get to experience. We felt lucky to live in a city with such awesome music educators that could make a night like We Are Nashville come to life.
We were also just in awe at the talent that was on display—from the children to the adults! Such a fun night for our family and a fun time for our daughter!”
